ARK: Survival Evolved - FREEFALL

Ever since ARK was released I was beyond stoked & eager to play after watching the trailer video.
As I progressed through the game levelling up it was until then I've found a buddy on the way who has stuck with me through thick & thin through every update this year.
My White with Scarlet stripes partner in crime, Freefall the Pteranodon.
So pretty much I took time to sketch this to tribute her loyalty no matter the weather 


LV 18 - BONDING
So to be honest, Freefall was already knocked out, I have no idea how but there she was (Suggesting she was stung by a Pulmonoscorpius but managed to escape it).
I had two choices, either kill her for the meat for the night or look for "Other Alternatives"...
At first I thought of her nothing more but a last resort food source but later I thought that she might be a bit of use later in time.

Even though I was high enough to take on larger creatures head on I couldn't take a chance with an inner knowing that she was fragile to even medium sized creatures like Raptors. So pretty much we were restricted to hunting smaller docile creatures like Dodos & Coelacanths.

In game days have past & already she has shown her worthiness to me as she helped construct my new base on the beach, It was a primitive model but it was bearable when under construction as she assisted in carrying wood & thatch when I needed it.

LV 27 - FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES
Now Arkers should all know that the Pteranodon are best known for their lightning fast speed for traversing through the air in record time, the only downfall is that these creatures are as fragile as a china vase.

So I was out foraging in the jungle for resources & food leaving Freefall perched on a rock on the outskirts, until I accidentally pissed off a Carno in its territory.
Scared & close to crapping my pants thinking "Holy Shittake this it" as I ran for the open. Whistled for Freefall to GTFO & peace out til I had delayed realisation that she was set to neutral+Attack target, so instead of running she decided to grab the bull by the horns (No pun intended).
There's me thinking "yup nice knowing ya..." until I noticed her speed was her greatest advantage overwhelming the Carno not being able to land an attack. Distracted & dazed this allowed me to deliver the final blow, silencing our attacker.

Because of that, Freefall had earned my respect.

LV 35 - THE SADDLE
Finally, We were a level high enough to craft a saddle for her. But the components needed to craft it was gonna be one Hellova Task.

Getting all of the Wood, Fibre & Chitin we needed it was only a matter of time til we took first flight.

LV 45 - FIRST FLIGHT
Mates who have played alongside with me tribe or outside have barraged me with questions to why I wont take flight with her yet.
Simply because I thought the moment was still young & I don't really like the look of her in what seems to resemble bondage equipment.  
Not to also mention at the time I have heard that the Devs are going to put the ability to perform a barrel roll, So I made a promise that when they do put this in the new update Freefall & I will have our first flight.

It was at that moment when we did dive bomb off a high cliff, there was a moment where you felt the sensation of freedom as you fall at a high speed, Thus to how I got her name in the first place.
